For as long as I can remember the border between Egypt and Gaza has been 'red' on the FCDO map and tourists have always been advised not to travel in this area. The distance between Hurghada and the Gaza border is the equivalent to Glasgow and London, in fact further. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Sharm el Sheikh, Dahab, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and many other places of interest to tourists within Egypt are in no way restricted.
Everything is normal in Egypt. Come on your holiday, enjoy the sunshine and the Egyptian hospitality and make the most of your well deserved break.

We are organising a trip to the Farne Islands to dive with the grey seals, this will be late September/ Early October depending on the numbers of divers, see attached clip from our friend Ben Burville who is Lully enough to dive with them every week in the Farne Islands during the mating season.
