DIVING TABA

  • Welcome to the far north! Located at the very end of the Gulf of Aqaba, right near the Jordan border, Taba and Taba Heigh are the northernmost seaside resorts in Egypt. But don’t be afraid, for here there are no polar bears but only hordes of tropical fish and coral! That’s exactly why divers come all the way up here… It’s not the most famous dive destination but it’s well worth giving it a try. Sites like the ‘Mersa El Muqabila’ plateau display a great wealth of hard and soft corals, with lots of groupers and anthias. If you’re lucky you’ll have a chance to see some eagle rays! Down at Farun Island, we like the topography with its pinnacles surrounded by schools of long-nose emperor fish. You’ll definitely be impressed by the big shoals of fusiliers at ‘Fjord South point’, as you will be by the incredible diversity of life in Marina Bay. There’s more than enough to do to spend a whole week of good diving here! Moreover, the dive conditions are well suited for every level, even for first-timers.
  • The added value of this region is in Taba Heigh: high-end ‘select’ hotels with spa and treatment. So if you’re travelling with non-divers this is the place for you and your loved ones! And since Cairo isn’t too far, you can combine diving and visits…
  • Unlike other locations in Egypt, this region has a more diverse offer, for families and large groups. You should definitely give it a go!
